Fire Safety Signs

LOCATE, IDENTIFY, INSTRUCT

Fire safety signs are an extremely important fire safety arrangement that demonstrate the organisations commitment to fire safety management. The SEFP team can survey, install and maintain all fire safety signs required by legislation as determined by the process of the formal risk assessment as required by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the Health and Safety (Safety signs and signals) Regulations 1996.

This legislation requires organisations to locate escape routes, identify non-automatic fire equipment including fire alarms, instruct employees, visitors and contractors of the actions they all need to take in the event of an emergency.

Mandatory instruction as required by Building Regulations to ensure compartmentation, automatic and standard fire doors are appropriately identified with statutory signs. This will ensure that in the event of fire it is contained within the area of incident and most importantly that escape routes are clear and unobstructed.

The law requires that all safety signs are maintained, checked and that they keep their intrinsic features under power failure. SEFP recommend the use of Jalite AAA safety signs as an extremely cost-effective solution to meet the legislation.
